Long ago in 1958 four teenagers from Binghamton, NY found each other. Their interests were common and not usual - these kids loved sports car racing.
Dave Nicholas, Joe Tierno, Dave Zych and Steve Vail decided it was time to start their own club. Find others who felt like they did all with the goal that each would become world class racing drivers.
While they all raced, the most important part in the story is they went to races, met drivers and managers and took thousands of photos. A character named Spankey Smith took them under his wing. With Spankey’s connections and the boys relentless spirit the Binghamton Automobile Racing Club began to grow. From Sebring to Mosport the BARCBOYs were known. What you’ll see and read are the photos they took, the stories of what happened and all with a lot of humor and maybe a few chilly lagers or other adult beverages.
