1959 and the first race of the year is in rainy April. Regardless, with Vineland’s location between New York and Philadelphia it always got good entries.

Diaz finished 2nd in the main race behind Bob Holbert.

The start grid for the 1959 Vineland 4 hour. This regional enduro was popular for many years. In 1959 it was won by Otto Linton and Lou Flink in a 1500cc OSCA.

This is not a trick photo. It is Bob Holbert in the 711 OSCA. Holbert and Ed Ginther drove it to 2d overall and 1st in index in the 4 hour race.
