LIME ROCK 1960

The BARCBOYS were there but many of the photos were lost. The biggest deal was the disastrous F III Formula Junior race. A big controversy at the July Nationals when SCCA decided to do a split start for FIII and FJr. Things go wrong when the starter lets the Juniors go but waits too long for the F IIIs. As the F III’s started the Juniors were full bore on the front straight. A big shunt darkens the day as the speeding Juniors cannot avoid all the just starting F IIIs. The only good news was nobody was seriously injured.

BARC was at Lime Rock many times this year including the spring coming out of the Rounds twincam, the July Nationals (followed by the Newport Jazz Fest) the August regionals and the September Regional finals.
